Dr. Kenneth Siemens - Continued ...
This involved the day to day interaction with people -
learning how to listen, understand and empathize with patients
from all walks of life. He started his practice in B.C and for
the first 10 years of practice was heavily involved in
continuing education, especially in the field of orthodontics
and Cosmetic Dentistry. He participated in many "hands-on"
study clubs - notably involving cast gold, periodontics and
orthodontics. He is also a long standing member in the Academy
of General Dentistry with 500 hours of courses to date.
Early in his career, Dr. Siemens became involved in the
Christian Medical Dental Society. This interest took him to
Central America for two visits where he brought dental
treatment to people who had no access to care.
Dr. Siemens is one of the 10% of dentists who place and
restore dental implants. He also continues to be involved in
virtually all aspects of dental health - especially
orthodontics, endodontics, and cosmetic procedures. These
areas have been especially exciting as they have benefited
from improvements in technology and research.
Dr. Siemens and his wife Deanna, have three children; Kyle,
Jayme and Kurtis. He holds a current private pilot license and
enjoys the process of continuing competency in the air. his
other interests include running, swimming, canoeing, and
skiing. He enjoys competing annually in adventure racing
events. He also plays the violin and tries unsuccessfully to
keep up with his children.
Recently Dr. Siemens has, along with other partners in River
Centre, become involved in leadership courses, which are
offering the next level towards his professional and personal
goals of delivering excellence. He is excited to be working
with a truly professional team and looks forward to finding
more ways of delivering quality dentistry in his highly people
orientated practice.
